We are so excited to interview Nifty Struggle, who will be hosting a BlueJay session on 14th July at 8pm. Born and raised in London, Nifty Struggle now produces high energy Hip Hop & Rap music in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. His debut EP, Trust Ya Struggle, has been a real success and has got us excited for what’s to come for this Northern lad – he is definitely one to watch!
Read on to find out a little bit more about what Nifty Struggle is all about.
Nifty Struggle is all about channelling energy into good music with layers of meaning.
Music is a member of my close family. We’ve always been cool. I love music in that platonic family type of way, don’t get confused though, I would die for music.
I draw inspiration from every aspect of life and music. To name some artists who made me want to be in music:
The list would honestly continue forever and ever, but these are my top four from my top 100 list.
I was into everything at one stage or another, until I realised I could be every version of myself and appreciate everything at the same time. My mum and dad would play music from every genre and every decade. That’s how me and music first met.
Up the Bracket – The Libertines
I don’t leave the studio or my bedroom, and my studio is a converted bedroom. So, my ideal night out might be in the living room if I could take all my equipment downstairs. There really isn’t any point though, can we not stay in tonight?
Cigarette’s, McDonald’s, drinks and more… but I’d rather not mention the rest.
I want to share my passion for music and reach out to more people who have the same interests as me, and promote myself as an artist!
